Direction

Birth of Jesus

Today is the day we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. My prayer for you today is that you have a personal relationship with Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. Ask him to come into your heart today and he will.

Bethlehem

"And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.
(And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)
And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.
And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, unto Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was from the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child." Luke 2: 1-5

Prince of Peace

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgement and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." Isaiah 9: 6, 7

Isaiah propheised thousands of years before his birth. Who was he prophesying about? Jesus Christ The Lord

Love

"Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God, for God is love." I John 4: 7-8

We must love ourselves before we can love any one else. We cannot truly love ourselves until we know and experience the love of God for us.

Peace

"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3

"But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us." Ephesians 2: 13, 14

Refiner's Fire

"And he shall sit as a refiner and purifer of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness." Malachi 3:3
