God's Glory

When we have knowledge of God then we have man's glory.

Jeremiah 9:23-24 "Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise loving-kindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord."

If we have wisdom we should not glory in that but in the fact the Lord gave us the wisdom. A mighty man should not glory in his ability and a rich man should not glory in his riches because they can disappear.

We should however glory in the fact we know and understand the Lord. He is the one which shows his loving kindness. He is the one who judges us and gives us his righteousness. That is the Lord's delight.

Lord let us not forget that it is through you we are capable, it is through you we have life and not through anything we do. Amen
