Self Control

What is self control? We are tempted with many things in this life, me must learn we cannot have everything we see, feel, touch or hear. Self control is doing without things or stuff when we do not have any real need of them. A lot of people think they deserve whatever they want whenever they want it. It is hard for people who think this way to have self control over their financial or just the way they live day to day.

I Timothy 6:11 "But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness."

To have self control is to say No to the flesh and yes to these things. When we HAVE NO CONTROL we try to satisfy the flesh and what it wants.

Soul Winning

Proverbs 11:30 "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise."

There is no trouble too great, no humiliation too deep, no suffering too severe, no love too strong, no labor too hard, no expense too large, but that it is worth it, if it is spent in the effort to win a soul.

God loves the soul more than all creation. He fashioned it after His own image, and made it like unto Himself. Every soul has departed from God and gone astray, and God has bought every soul back again with a price.

That price was in, and through, and by Jesus Christ. God loves every soul with an everlasting love.

God Bless and have a wonderful day.

Spiritual Heritage

You may ask this morning what is Spiritual Heritage? Lets start with the word heritage. According to Webster heritage is something handed down from one's ancestors or the past, such as a way of life.

As Christians we have a Spiritual Heritage handed down to us by God.

Protection - Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper: and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord." We have inherited protection from the Lord God.

Provision - Isaiah 58:14 "Then shalt thou delight thyself in the Lord; and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth, and feed thee with the heritage of Jacob thy father: for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it." We do not need to worry in these troubled times. God will provide for us our needs.

Kingdom - Matt. 24:34 "Then shall the King say unto them on the right hand, come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world." Before, the earth was put into place, we were being provided a kingdom by the Father who gives only good things.

I Corinthians 2:9-12 "But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by His Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God." We cannot begin to comprehend what God has prepared for us.

We can read the word daily, from cover to cover many times and will still not completely know what He has done for us.

God Bless and have a blessed day.

How to Treat Men

Matthew 7:12 "Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets."

How do you want to be treated by your fellow men? How do you want your family to remember what happened to them during their time with you?

Do you want to be treated with love and respect? Of course you do and so do I. As the scripture states, how we want to be treated is the way we must treat others. If we want to be loved, we must show love to others. If we desire respect from our piers, we must show respect.

Can we show these attributes and still disagree with each other? Of course we can. But we do it in a respectful way. And we must remember, we are not always right. And some times when we are right we just tell the other person, I disagree with you but I still love you.

Then we let God sort out every thing and He will teach us in the spirit what to do.

Have a blessed day and remember to pray for each other.

Offering to God

Psalm 50:14-15 "Offer unto God thanksgiving: and pay thy vows unto the most High. And call upon me in the day of trouble: And I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me."

It is God's desire that we give Him thanksgiving every day. In the morning when we arise we should give him praise and thanksgiving. What are we thanking Him for?

We should thank Him for rest, joy, comfort, peace, and for being our El Sheddai and our Jehovah Jireh. We should thank him for all things that come to us whether it be good or bad. He gives us all good things. The bad things do not come from Him but from the king of this world. But when we thank Him for even the bad, He can turn it around and use it for good in our lives.

Remember, if He brought you to it, He will take you through it to the other side.

God bless and have a blessed day.

The Lord's Prayer

Matthew 6:9-13 "After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name: Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen"

The Lord's prayer was given to his disciples as an example for them and us(we are also his disciples if we belong to him)for our prayer life. In v8, Jesus told the disciples he knew what they needed before they asked of Him.

He desires a relationship with us. He wants us to come to Him and tell him what is going on in our lives. He wants us to acknowledge what we desire from him, not meaning we get everything we ask for. He knows what our needs are and what is best for us and he has a time for everything.

He desires our love and he wants to give us good things and love us back. Sometimes we just need that love and nothing else.

God bless you today.

Love from the Father

Do you ever feel as if you are completely alone? Do you feel no one loves you even though you are surrounded by people? At one time or another we have all felt this way. But we do not need to feel this way all the time. There is someone who loves each of us totally. He wants to be part of your life every day. He does not reject you because of who you are, but wants to love you because of who He is.

David was a man who spent a lot of time on the run, hiding in a cave. This is how he felt.

Psalm 42:8 "The Lord will command His lovingkindness in the daytime, and in the night His song shall be with me---A prayer to the God of my life."

Romans 5:8 "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

He loved us so much He died for us. I can't think of one person who would give their life for me to live. Yet, Christ died for us all over two thousand years ago.

God bless you. He wants to be your Father, all you need to do is ask Him into your heart and repent of your sins. He is waiting on you.

Jesus Is Your Savior

Today is a new day. I hope you are well in the Lord. We are beginning a new day in our ministry. We are going to talk about Jesus Christ as our Savior.

Titus 3:5-6 "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior."

Paul wrote these words to Titus telling him it was nothing he did but by the mercy showed us by Jesus Christ. He is the One who saved us, loved us and died for us on the cross.

I John 4:14 "We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world."

Our Heavenly Father sent His Son to save us. John said we can testify to this fact.

Luke states in 1:47 that his spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior. Luke walked with Jesus the Son while He was alieve and walking on the earth.

Luke testified in Luke 19:10, "The Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost." Man is lost until we decide to come before him with repentance in our hearts, accepting Him for who He is and what He wants to do in our lives.

We must believe that Jesus Christ died for us, cleansed us by His Blood and wants to save us for all eternity.

"For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." That is so simple to understand but we make it hard. We do not need to be hit by a tidal wave or fall off a mountain to see that God loved us so much He was willing to give His Son to die for us in order that we might be saved from hell.

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Savior and wish to please say this simple prayer. Jesus I want you in my life, please save me and let me walk with you.
Thank you Father for cleansing me and making me whole. I love you and want you to abide with me forever. I repent of all my sins. Amen.
